Family and Friends
Finding out or suspecting that a person you love is, or may be using drugs, can sometimes have a devastating effect on families and those close to the drug user.
Families can often feel isolated, lonely and feel that there is nowhere to turn.
Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland DAATs have helped to develop a local support project, named “Snowdrops Family Drug Support” which aims to provide support for families and carers of people affected by drug use. The support provided by Snowdrops includes:
- Advice and information
- Education about drug use for parents/carers
- Emotional Support
- Practical help
- Local support groups
If you require a confidential discussion, or further details of this service, or if you would like to help set up a support group, please contact the Snowdrops helpline at:
